Prior to joining the firm, she served as the Government Affairs Officer for the San Mateo County Transit District, Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board and the San Mateo County Transportation Authority. Kim served as the liaison to local governments and worked with San Mateo County cities to build consensus around issues like Caltrain electrification, the Grand Boulevard Initiative and High-Speed Rail.
Before her return to public service Kim spent four years as a pharmaceutical sales representative in San Francisco for the international firm Novartis. In this role, she was responsible for new product launches and increasing market share for several medications.
Kim has nearly four years association experience having previously served as the Sacramento and East Bay Area Membership Director for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). At AIPAC, she promoted the importance of a strong U.S. – Israel relationship and increased both membership and financial contributions to the organization. Kim also worked in the California State Assembly in various roles including Chief of Staff to a Bay Area assemblyperson.
Kim earned a Master of Public Administration degree in from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from University of California, Davis.
Kim lives in Sacramento with her husband Doug and son. In her spare time she works as a group exercise fitness instructor.
