Amy J. Lai joined the Shaw/Yoder/Antwih, Inc. team as an Association Services Director in July 2009. She serves the California Transit Association and the California Coalition on Workers' Compensation by managing a host of membership services activities, including the associations’ educational programs.
Ms. Lai brings years of association experience to the firm, most recently serving with the California Dental Association as Administrator of the Leadership Development Committee and Committee on Volunteer Placement. As such, she worked closely with both committees to oversee the recruitment, placement and training of volunteer leaders. Ms. Lai also spent six years as Senior Events Manager with the California Bankers Association, managing conferences and educational programs for all levels of bank personnel.
Prior to her association work in Sacramento, Ms. Lai served in the San Francisco Bay Area as a program coordinator with the Administrative Office of the Courts (Center for Judicial Education) and an exhibits assistant with the American Academy of Ophthalmology. She was also an account manager with Courtesy Associates, a Washington, D.C. association management firm.
Ms. Lai holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland. She recently earned a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation and is a member of the California Society of Association Executives and the Sacramento/Sierra Nevada Chapter of Meeting Professionals International.
